What’s your accountant or lawyer marketing plan?
It may sound like a ridiculous question, but in a recent chat with Larry Bodine, possibly the World’s most renowned law firm marketing expert, he reiterated the importance of lawyers in every firm being active participants as opposed to bystanders in marketing the firm generally.
Larry, in a forthcoming podcast feature, identified 4 strategic parts to a lawyer’s individual marketing plan. He suggests each lawyer in the practice taking 4 pieces of paper.
On Page one, is the sales plan which should mark up a list of your law firm’s top 10 clients. Larry suggests setting a date when you can visit the client and really engage with them.
On Page two of the plan identify the top 10 referral sources of your law firm. Again, you meet with these referral sources both to engage and of course identify the potential reciprocal referrals your firm may be able to offer.
The other 2 pages or aspects of the plan are absolutely essential to any robust and effective law firm marketing strategy.
It equally applies to accountants.
The Law Firm Marketing Podcast Feature with Larry Bodine and other Law Firm Marketing Experts will be available soon.
