Hi, folks, Dan Toombs here from Grow your Firm in this Quick Tip, just wanted to let you know that if your law firm hasn’t got a Google Place page yet, then I highly recommend you do it now. The Grow your Firm team have been getting alot of enquiry from firms wanting our help to do this. Sure, we can do it and its included in our packages, but you can do it simply yourself.

So, what I suggest is head across to Google Places right now and make an account, because it will take a little while for Google to verify things. There verification method at present is a postcard they will send to you with a particular code which will activate your account. This can take up to 2 weeks. Alternatively, if you suuply a mobile number they’ll SMS you fairly quickly.

Why is important to get a Place Page. Well, you may have noticed over the last month, when you search for something, the first batch of returns are in fact Google Place pages. So, if you’re a law firm in Newcastle and if you havent got a place page but have a website that ranks well, it may be likely that your firm will be relegated below this batch of place pages.

So, get up a Google Place page and bombard it with great teaser content that throws searchers back to your site.
